The site was originally started as a WAP only site in early 2000, offering users links to sites on the internet designed for browsing on WAP enabled mobile devices. After getting my new WAP phone I decided to learn about this WAP thing myself and create my own site that would give WAP users an alternative view of WAP than that provided by their network operator. I also wanted to introduce WAP users to some of the useful services provided by independent wap developers and demonstrate how grapics can be used a little more to enhance the look of a WAP site. Click4WAP is now colour enabled.

Since starting the site I have received much interest and encouragement from around the world and thank everybody for this. Click4WAP has been featured in articles in the USA's "WIRED" magazine and been recommended alongside the great Yahoo! by the UK's "WEBuser" magazine as a useful bookmark for the mobile WAP user. In the first year over 12 million pages of Click4WAP were viewed rising to over 2 million monthly! Several telco network operators' portals worldwide link to Click4WAP, giving their users instant access to more valued mobile content.
